The Hottness - Stay Classy album cover

I didn't know anything about THE HOTTNESS, but as soon as I laid my eyes on the Ferret Music logo on the back of this promo CD I suddenly knew everything about them. I know exactly what to expect from a band that is a part of Ferret. If you are below 18 years old read the rest of this review. If not, better go do something more creative.

These guys probably don't spend time on informing their fans and other people about basic stuff like their line up for example, since they say that they are a 5 piece act but they never mention who the fuck is the fifth member, the drummer. Anyway, there is nothing important to know about these guys so let's get straight to the main part of this review.

THE HOTTNESS describe themselves as a Hard Rock/Punk/Southern Metal band. I am sorry but when you listen to the album and think about this characterization you may have a heart attack or something. These guys probably don't know what these genres they mention mean. Their music is this shitty Hardcore with catchy riffing and melodic sing along choruses. Ok, one Blues scale doesn't make you a Southern Metal band.

Of course there is no way I would spend more time on a Ferret release. I have a tradition with this label. So, as I said in the beginning, if you are less than 18 years old, check them out, otherwise go and listen to some real Southern Metal.
