Hail The Horde
The Burning

First of all, I would like to point out that time was spent on creating a pdf document just to inform me that the digital promo I received is watermarked, but no one bothered mentioning the guest appearances on this album in the other pdf document, which contains info on the album. It would be nice for labels to start promoting their bands more and not only themselves for a change.
Anyway, THE BURNING are here to save the day since "Hail The Horde" is an incredibly beautiful album, maybe their best so far. The Danish horde's third full-length effort contains approximately 49 minutes full of melodic Thrash Metal mixed with many groove elements from the 90's Metal scene, when bands like PANTERA and HELMET were in the forefront with their groovy and heavy as fuck sound. Even though I was not that friendly in my review on the band's previous album "Rewakening", I now have to admit that these guys have this "something"! Melodic and catchy leads give their place to thrashy shredding and a solid as a rock groovy rhythm section. Johnny Haven has also worked a lot as it seems, since his vocals sound just beautiful, reminding me a lot of THE HAUNTED's Peter Dolving at times.
Here is where the modern sound of melodic Thrash Metal meets the groove of PANTERA, HELMET and SEPULTURA, producing a dirty diamond full of down tuned guitars, great melodies, "macho" vocals and countless headbanging challenges. And the fact that ARTILLERY's singer and the Jensen brothers (I assume) from DAWN OF DEMISE contributed to the album makes the whole thing even more interesting.
