Teardown - Cold Rooms album cover

Now here's an interesting demo. Cold Rooms came as a blessing between gazillion extreme satanic, or generally random anti-religious, demo CD with numerous inverted crosses on their front covers. Come on guys this is getting a bit boring plus, I need something mellow for my early morning wake-ups.
TEARDOWN offered this token. Melodic heavy / gothic rock with female vocals and an attitude. Four short tunes wrapped in a warm, yet not the most appropriate, production made my day a better one. I know that a lot of metalheads out there consider this kind of music false. I guess these are the same dudes that shake their bom - bom with BON JOVI or HIM tunes (gotcha!!!).
Katja as a singer is not something extraordinary but her voice is so down to earth that you instantly fall in love with her (her voice that is). No more soprano gals for me. She enriches the compositions in a very comfortable way that makes the listening an enjoyable experience. So thumbs up from my side for TEARDOWN. Hope to listen a full-length release from them soon.
