Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: TAX THE HEAT; signed via Nuclear Blast Records, hailing from England - performing Rock, on their 2nd album entitled: "Change Your Position" (released 9th of March, 2018).

Since their debut album: "Fed To The Lions" in 2016; the quintet in question deliver their 2nd offering: "Change Your Position" 2 years later, signed with the mighty Nuclear Blast Records; I had discovered TAX THE HEAT through Nuclear Blast's YouTube channel, promoting the hell out of them, I was inevitably curious about said quartet and I now have that opportunity with thanks to Metal Temple. 12 tracks ranging at around 39:15, the band arrange an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Rock developments. With expectations inbetween; I was surprised to see them exceeded - as with the first track: "Money In The Bank", I began to experience a solid slab of concrete executions and rhythmic songwriting adroitness.

Consisting of Alex Veale on vocals/guitar, the frontman provides a complex distinction of consistently distinguished dexterity. The titular track and "Playing With Fire" demonstrates clean singing with a hint of rough vocalization, and constructively composed flamboyancy. JP Jacyshyn also on guitar supplies a fluidly raw aesthetic of organically melodious substances, "All That Medicine" distributes a bouncy formula of catchy grit and battering thumpiness. Powerhouse bassist Antonio Angotti conveys efficiently proficient grooves of pummelling audibility, as "On The Run" showcases rapidly swift nimbleness and diligently dominate creativity; I am enjoying an enlightening experience so far.

Jack Taylor on drums bashes his set with a barraged assault of relentlessly motivating beats, as "The Last Time" establishes a polished ramification of meticulous characteristics and craftsmanship. "Taking The Hit" embellishes on energetically electric riffs and solos, flourishing with a hammering onslaught of thunderous rampages of frienzied technicalities and progressive attributions - which make for a unique contrast in this genre. "My Headspace" examines the quirky elements that portray more dynamic implementations, making for a robust formation of fulfilling selubriousness. "We Are Consumers" shows off the inventive results the band has fabricated, keeping one captivated, hooked and dancing like a wildman on fire.

"Cut Your Chains" has gripping jumpiness to it, balancing the chaotic sound production with ripping mayhem and epic stability. "Wearing A Disguise" tones it down with an anthemic structure to it, while the poetic "The Symphony Has Begun" overall concludes the record with a grandiose manifestation of remarkable contributions.

Bottom line; if you are like me and thought the band name was generic, don't let that stop you - as they say, "don't judge a book by its cover". TAX THE HEAT certainly outdone themselves with this one, worth the time.
