This is the first time I hear about a label named ViciSolum Productions and from what I found after searching the label's site, I realized that the only band I knew was DIABOLICAL (where Roger Bergsten had participated in the past). Let's see what SYN: DROM is all about since the combination Sweden/Death Metal has always something to say.

Formed in 2003 the band started work on its first demo, which was released in 2004. After one more demo and a self financed EP, SYN: DROM managed to sign a contract with the Stockholm based label ViciSolum Productions. The band's debut full-length effort "With Flesh Unbound" (yeah, even the title reveals the band's nature) is presented by the label as the next big thing but the one who will have to judge this is the one who will spend his money on buying this album.

The album begins with this almost occult intro, only to smash you with "Scorned Messiah". Technical riffs, relentless blasts and a generally up tempo mood are the elements that describe this album. Brutality is also offered in huge doses in here, since this quintet doesn't seem willing to slow down a bit just to let you relax. "With Flesh Unbound" is a bestial massacre from its first to its last second. What this album reminded me is another Swedish band, INSISION (I suppose you know them since their bassist wrote the book "Swedish Death Metal"), drawing also some influences from bands like VADER and NILE. SYN: DROM mostly have this Swedish brutal Death Metal style (INSISION, VOMITORY etc) with chaotic guitars and this extremely unholy attitude.

If you don't ask for any groovy mid tempo Death Metal and you want shredding guitars, frenzy drumming and a vocalist that's ready to swallow your soul, then SYN: DROM is a pretty good choice for you. Strong debut from the Swedish maniacs and I hope that the "sequel" will be even better!
