Some of the music that came from the 80s is very recognizable with an emphasis on vocals and sounds that come from the keyboards. The decade is best described as a passing phase from the 70s into the 90s, with many bands that are still recognized today. STUTZ is a band that has been out since the 80s, but hasn't had any of their work published-until now. With Stormspell Records, a full 3-CD box set came out of STUTZ's music: I listened to the album "Killer". The beginning of the album didn't really grab me like it should've; I found it to be too noisy in the background. The foreground music was great, but the keyboard I felt was too distracting. After a little while passed, the music got a lot better for me: the keyboards started playing a more important roll and made the music feel more like it should be.
All-in-all I found this album to be pretty good. I didn't become a big fan of STUTZ, but I enjoyed listening to the album. After some time I started to enjoy the singing and the chemistry the band has together. Some of the songs on this album served some really nice riffs and singing passages, and even some good solos. Some passages put rush in mind, and some parts were even progressive. I can't really find myself listening to STUTZ many times after; they did not come out as a big band with big things. STUTZ is a small band with little things to offer, but all the same, this album was an 80s thrill of Rock.
