The young guys from Helsinki called STRONG ADDICTION are hiding their initial nasty intention behind a mysteriously quite sophisticated and attractive dark cover art, the title itself "Anesthesia" isn't really in coherence with the sonic revelation as the band perform some kind of a effective, primary and dynamic Alternative Metal influenced by the early 90's moods, the stripped Melancholic sound of the detuned guitars are symbolic of that fact!

April 15th 2013 was a big day for STRONG ADDICTION when they were competing in a band contest at Hard Rock Cafe in Helsinki. After almost 5 years of performing live, they won the competition with a positive credit from many Finnish influential person in music industry. In November 2014 they released their 10 songs-debut album "Anesthesia" in Finland, now it's time for the worldwide release with the Inverse Records reputed quality stamp!

"Anesthesia" is an album that shows some true musicianship promise and a refreshing twist of a new found captivating composition method...A sound born under a strong wake of unexpected skills, a so-called perfectionism, where the authenticity and sincerity are the more than convincing parameters and indeed it's an refined/uplifted version of a rough edges genre, perfected with style!

Of course, as far as i'm concerned some of this generic elements are not easy to digest even in this brillant rendition, the hypnotic waves of "Fix Me" with the wobbly tempo in opposition with the razor sharp guitar attack and the typical riffage rowdiness that lead to a fragile melodic psychedelic hook ("Drag You To Hell") are not easy to swallow for me...But it contains some addictive hints of total dependency!

The raw and plaintive vocals of Sebastian in "Losing It All" and its dazzling pace construction with some sitar like lead guitar is symptomatic of this stiff Seattle-ish characteristic, normally this anomaly is a restricted musical area and a definitive crippling sensation!

Stylistically miles away from my daily dose of Ultra-structured-technical fistful of Scandinavian Power Metal, the Finnish blokes of STRONG ADDICTION are grunge survivors in my Hard-disk, they succeeds in revealing their great sense of composing even if it is not my cup of weed infusion!<
