Perceiving The World With Hate

Originality. Awe-inspiring and chilling vocals. Music that sends shivers up your spine and great production value. Groundbreaking Black Metal from the deepest ends of Hell. None of these will you find in this release from STRIBORG, called Perceiving The World With Hate. STRIBORG is a band that hails from the not so frostbitten forests of Tasmania, consisted of Sin Nanna... and that's about it. It's a one man show who plays ambient (yet again this word) black Metal and this is actually his eleventh(!) album release showing the world the brutality of the ambient, pagan yet suicidal black Metal.
'Ambient' usually means that at least 95% of the duration of an album is random noise patterns that go on endlessly and when the guitars finally kick in, it's yet again a repeated pattern with some random growling on top. And this release does not fail to deliver the aforementioned characteristics. It was dull. It was torturous. It was boring. So boring I had to switch to something else every other song just to find the strength to keep on listening. It earns a place next to the Chinese drop torture as the Tasmanian Ambient Black Metal Torture.
The production is god awful. The snarls and growls are painful, almost parody-like. I don't even know if there are any lyrics, or a concept. I only know I should get an award of some kind for listening through the entire album. Or a ticket to Norway with all expenses paid for a few months to recover from this. Preferably the later.
