Stormhammer - Welcome To The End album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: STORMHAMMER; signed via Massacre Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Power Metal, on their 6th album entitled "Welcome To The End". (released March 24th, 2017)

Since formation in 1993; the quintet in question have 5 albums behind them, I am introduced to their 6th album: "Welcome To The End". Power Metal is a Metalhead elegance that while it may across as "cheesy" to some; I personally will always relish a good ol' pummelling of steel, and German quartet - STORMHAMMER deliver an astonishing array of exquisite sub-genre diversities from pure Heavy Metal to furious Thrash/Speed Metal in their own, intricately balanced way. The electrifying opener "The Beginning Of The End" demonstrates a force to be reckoned with, and so the epic "Northman" begins with an unique supplement of enlightening instrumentation and musicianship. Fulfilling attributes are succulent blast beats that make the sound production more tasteful, and constructive songwriting to boot. 14 tracks long; ranging at around an intense 1:04:46, I can clarify that your money and time will be well spent.

Consisting of Jürgen Dachl on vocals who consistently showcases complex, high-pitched elements that stays true to the formula and performs with graceful intentions; this is showcased in songs like "The Heritage", "Secret" & "The Law with profuse proficiency. Dextrous duo - Bernd Intveen  on lead guitar & Manny "Maniac" Ewender on rhythm guitar provide an efficiently composed display of delicate riffs in which are executed with an organic aesthetic in mind. "Watchmen", "Road To Heaven" & "My Dark Side" continue to supply more unprecedented compositions from sufficient powerhouse Horst Tessmann on bass & Chris Widmann on drums exercise a galloping stimulation adeptly contributing an original substance which excels with memorability too. Nothing sounds extravagantly disarranged or poorly presented; more frolic than anything else, and rightly so. I can't see "Welcome To The End" being a terrible record.

More distinctive tracks: "Into The Night", "Spirit Of The Night" & "Soul Temptation" devise in lush varieties where distinguishing growls and individual characteristics such as lightning-speed riffs and demolishing; crushing material, emphasize in a solid and stellar slab of strength and adroitness. The epic "The Awakening" & "Black Dragon" conclude "Welcome To The End" with surprising results; going in with high-expectations, I was pleasantly enjoying an substantial amount of well-thought out chaos at your eardrums - it may be a long record, yet it stays true to the formulaic with precision and assembles splendidly structural significance as you sustain this solidified rocker. What more can I say? Well, if you're like me and crave some new discoveries in the Power Metal realm – STORMHAMMER will be your guide, not album of the year material, but it'll certainly do.<
