STONEHEAD is a German band from Dresden, Germany that got formed in 2006 playing in the stoner/doom genre, and their discography includes 1 Demo, 2 EPs and 2 albums. "Inner Demons" is their second and latest album and the one we will be talking about today.
The album starts with.... "The End". Quite an interesting way to name the intro song, I must admit, "The End" is a slow paced, and repetitive stoner song at it's finest. A bit too slow paced, I might even say, but as the album continued playing, they have surprised me exponentially. As the album progresses, each song sounds increasingly "heavier" and faster. The harsh voice of the vocal, Nobby, seems a bit much for the instrumentals in the beginning, but as the album keeps playing, it starts to fit better and better into play. It is a really nice combination of stoner/doom with heavy, but that harsh voice with the instrumental, although it sounds nice, it still gives a bit of a weird feeling somehow. All in all, it was a nice album to listen, and it did show some potential. In the future, there are chances this band might blow my mind. Until then, "Inner Demons" is still an album worth having and worth listening to, especially for stoner fans.
