"From Time... To Eternity" is STONE MAGNUM's sophomore album with their self-titled debut album having been released just last year. This album marks the debut of the new singer Nick Hernandez who took over vocal duties from Dean Tavernier so that he would focus on his guitars duties.
Since I haven't listened to the first album I won't be able to say how big of a change was the inclusion of Hernandez in the band, but taking from this album STONE MAGNUM couldn't have picked a better vocalist. Nick Hernandez is the perfect Doom Metal singer, reminiscent of Dio in songs like "Falling off the Edge of the World" or "The Sign of the Southern Cross" or maybe Johan Längquist in the first CANDLEMASS album.
This album marks STONE MAGNUM as a force to be reckoned with in the Doom scene, with heavy riffing, a haunting atmosphere and great lyrics, this band is highly recommended for fans of CANDLEMASS, ALTAR OF OBLIVION and Epic Doom Metal in general.
