Collectively drawing inspiration from Post, Extreme, Progressive, and Doom Metal, STILLBEING combines sonic intensity with the air of gaze-like texture and minimalism. Despite all the weight of sounds, the infusion of subtle electronics and cinematic flare, the sound proposes moments of fragility and sensitivity. This first contribution to the vast universe of heavy music depicts an array of ambiance, noise and melody. "World Builder" presents a 46-minute journey through the fierce and quiet cosmos through emotive and atmospheric heavy music. The album has four songs.

"Abandoning Mother" is the first. The sound is crushingly heavy, and dark. Some electronica swirls in the background, adding another dimension to cold and sterile elements. The vocals are nearly guttural and combine with the punishing riffs in an ominous delivery. The song grows steadily darker as it moves, like a storm coming through. "Future Earth" eases in with a smooth but murky sound, and a meaty bass line materializes. When the vocals turn harsh, an oppressive sound follows. The band paints a landscape of a rotten earth, and the stench of death. The ambient passage around the half-way mark offers a small reprieve, and tension hangs in the air like a thick fog. What follows sounds like a cold desperation.

The title track begins with some eerie electronica that stays put in the background when the punishing sound drops. Frigid layers are added along the way, until the sound recedes. Again, the tension they create is engaging. It reaches a threatening crescendo that has you on edge until it finally releases you from its harrowing spell. "See it till the End" closes the album. It begins with a smoother sound, but darkness still hangs, almost like a brain fog. Although the sound is a bit gentler, the crushing weight of the song is still quite burdensome. An acoustic interlude takes over, but that sixth sense of warning is still very present. The ending smacks of desperation and anger.

At its core, you could call this Doom Metal, but there are so many more elements to their sound. What sets the band apart from their contemporaries is seamless transitions from a punishing sound to more ambient moments that seem to come from nowhere, and their use of electronica adds another dimension to their deadly sound. This album is not a destination, or a point in time. Instead, it's a stormy journey through some of your worst fears and insecurities. If you come out unscathed at the end, you have a stronger constitution than most.
