Reissues are quickly becoming a popular trend these days as a great tool for veteran bands to reconnect with their fans, usually around the time of a new album release. STEEL PROPHET are following suit. Having already reissued their first full length studio album, "The Goddess Principle", earlier this year, in anticipation of their first studio album in 10 years, "Omniscient", this hard rocking power metal band is set to release a double CD, containing reissues of the full length "Into the Void" along with the EP "Continuum", on September 19th, via Pure Steel Records. Preorders are available now.
The "Continuum" EP was originally released in 1996, while "Into the Void" was released the following year, in 1997. With the enormous success of these two releases, STEEL PROPHET was quickly signed to Nuclear Blast, and the rest is history. With a catalog full of top-notch metal releases, and a massive underground following, these guys have remained the epitome of what the US Power Metal scene was and will always be. And they're not finished just yet. With their new album already out worldwide, they are preparing to become bigger than ever.
STEEL PROPHET was originally founded in Middletown, Connecticut in 1984 and after a few lineup changes, relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1987, and still call the west coast home to this day. Playing a style of metal reminiscent of FATES WARNING, AGENT STEEL, JUDAS PRIEST, and IRON MAIDEN, the band's progressive, power metal sound is full of high octave vocals and powerful guitar riffs. Arguably one of the most underrated bands of the 80's and 90's era, and with talent as deep as anyone in the heavy metal genre, STEEL PROPHET have remained a mainstay on the underground metal scene and will look to further their legendary status long into the future.
If you are a fan of progressive power metal and are looking for the sound that shaped the genre, pick up this "two for one" reissue. This is a great release by an even greater band.<
