Hatecomming
Spreading Hate
And finally, after three years of waiting, comes the first Full-Length from SPREADING HATE, a Brazilian quartet from São Paulo, "Hatecomming". And my dear Metal nephews and nieces, you Ol' Big Daddy here found a precious jewel again.
Like another excellent names like VULTURE and DAM, SPREADING HATE is a Melodic Death Metal band in the vein of old IN FLAMES, with touches of DEATH and CHILDREN OF BODOM, conserving the oppressive brutality of the gender, but inserting good melodies on their riffs, so the music is brutal, but elegant and full of excellent tempo variations. It's a step ahead from their first EP, "Nightfall", which showed a great potential in 2010. And now, they want to show their work and earn their place!
Produced by the quartet itself, and having Chrystian Szankowsky on mixing and mastering, the album sounds very good, listenable and intense, conserving the weight and aggressiveness from the band. And the tones from the instruments are very fine and well chosen. And the artwork, done by Fernando Laruccia (from Flama Design) shows what this CD is up to: it's a locomotive at full speed, adrift, so hear the music or step aside.
Their music is heavy, melodic, aggressive and has a great dynamics, so tracks like "Hollowdead" (good tempo variations, and great guitar works), the more melodic "Infernal Nightmare" (perfect in terms of drums and bass), the modern chaos of "Hatecomming" and "Subterranean Palace" show a band that have a lot of to say and show.
Hear, buy and have your neighbors run away.
