Sixteen years ago, the metal world knew the innovative experience of the metal operates through AVANTASIA with "The Metal Opera" and after seven years Heleno Vale started a project of my Brazilian compatriots came up with great names of our national metal like Mário Linhares and Daísa Munhoz. The project has been gaining strength throughout the years and already in its second project managed to boost itself and to add names like Roland Grapow and one of the best Brazilian voices Mario Pastore. The new venture, now in addition to many artists who follow the project since it was still a new born, features Kotilpelto, Fabio Lione, Kotipelto and Kiko Lourero, Blaze Bayley, as well as several other great metal talents that will be mentioned in the members section.
"The Second Big Bang" as well as the previous works brings a slightly different approach than the common one in the genre, causing several singers and musicians to participate in each track instead of alternating from one track to another. The opening track is "Time To Set You Free" is an introduction that engages the listener giving a little idea of the drama that's about to come and opens up space for the aggressive and exciting "The Second Big Bang" with continuous and fast riffs. Showing the project's power to rely on with a large amount of alternating vocals without losing harmony at all.
"Sound Of The Rain" has a beautiful introduction of piano accompanied by the beautiful and soft voice of Daísa Munhoz, in addition the track is the longest of the album passing from the 9' of play, stuffed of duets and Tempo changes. The duel between Blaze and Koltipeto at the beginning "The End You'll Only Know at the End" is nothing less than brilliant, this track reminded me a lot of the Golden Age of STRATOVARIUS (Episode-Infinity). "Father and Son" is a ballad, logically that explores the female vocal of Daíza showing her versatility."Dungeons and Dragons" is in the vein of the Italian Power Metal that appeared in 90 ', counting on well-synchronized back-vocals, fast-paced vocals and lots of energy.
Some suspense signs in "Game of Hours" are very interesting, the track begins very slow giving the impression that it will be another ballad, but it is gaining speed in its course. The heavy riffs and changes of pace allied to the piano are high points here as well. "Super Black Hole." ends the work with the best chorus of the album that still counts on two re-recordings of the band's debut "SoulSpell" and "Alexandria".Heleno Vale's project gains strength by being its fourth album better than it predecessors, gaining even more strength and brilliance to move on. Reason for pride to all of us Brazilians, strengthening our metal scene. I just have to congratulate you all that worked on this project for this masterpiece.
