Some Hate Will Last - The Art of Resistance album cover

Here we have a one man Progressive Death / Metalcore project ladies and gents, and genre isn't anything you see everyone performing in the scene nowadays, in fact, most bands pull it out nicely when performing Progressive influenced Metal. But, is this 1 person alone capable of sounding unique and not just showing how well he can play his instruments? Let's see.

"Some Hate Will Last" opens the album with some pretty decent starters, conveying some nice musicianship, especially in "Lost". The aggressive attitude really helps at the start and prepares the listener to what's coming up. Although, I should say, the quality sounds really crappy, and the vocals are very poorly recorded.

Well, there is some experimentation here and there with very minor electronic elements, but the album comes out seriously repetitive and actually, the musicianship is very weak. In "Twelve Bullets In The Head" for example, the vocals and guitar approach is very mediocre and boring, and honestly, the whole album continues to be repetitive the whole time. This should have been a 5 track EP or something.

I really have nothing to say, the album is mediocre at best, doing this stuff alone really isn't recommended. I do not see how this album is classified as progressive. Compared to similar albums in the genre, this fails really badly. But, I don't know, if you want some lo-fi Death Metal or something, then give this a chance.
