Scandinavia has always been the cradle for Black Metal bands, however Denmark has not produced many bands with that style, the reason why beats me. Nevermind that, because now they have a Black Metal band to be proud of, behold SOLBRUD is here, and they mean business. Formed in 2009  in Copenhagen, land of the mighty KING DIAMOND, their music is pure hate and evil; Black Metal into our hearts. Up to this time, they have released two albums with four tracks each; quantity is not quality. The first album called "Soulbrud", has a length of 46 minutes and made a huge impact in the Black Metal scene, and following the same path, the latest album entitled " Jaertegn", is also 46 minutes in length; four songs that are very cool, long songs, and you don't get bored at all because the songs are killers!!!!

First song opening the CD is "Sortedoden"; good bass work, very strong indeed, raspy vocals, low guitars; Black Metal at its best. "Afbed", same thing here; great skills, an awesome atmosphere, all ingredients come nicely together, with hate and aggression spilling the blood of those who betrayed us.

SOLBRUD have produced a very good album, whether it's a bit repetitive or the production is not top notch, it doesn't really matter; the music is great and fuck the rest. I think the production is cool, very underground art cover is also cool. So I am very happy with this album and also very happy for Denmark because now they have a very good Black Metal band to represent them abroad, Hail Satan!!!
