Better late than ever... Skinned from USA send me their album Spawn Of Insanity for review in this site only a couple of years after its release. I guess they are in favor of the old saying it's never too late for publicity. Unfortunately my time (and yours) is thin even for brand new albums so I will make this a quick one.
Started back in 1995 they released their first demo Army Of The Dead in 1996 and a split CD in 1998 with Mentally Murdered (they contributed with Bloody Orifice). They composed two more songs in 1999 better never released them. The band came to an and around the same year only to return in 2003 and released a CD titled Grimoires (that one also included the two previous unreleased songs) and every other piece of work they had at hand. In May 2005 they released this album and... that's about it. Their site only mentions some endorsements from there on.
While listening to Spawn Of Insanity I came to the conclusion that this band has (or had since I don't know their status anymore) a lot of potentials. Well played brutal death metal with many creative and technical passages shows skilled and focused musicians. Yeah this is not a revelation for the genre but I know a lot of shitty bands that have made a living with much worse albums. This one would have been much more of my likes I it wasn't that brutal.
Apart all this Spawn Of Insanity must be one of those what where they thinking kind of albums when you check its horrible front cover. Anyway I don't know the status of the band anymore but I hope they are out there composing evil songs like those in this album. Fan? Check it.
