Soulless Generation

It has been a long time since I last reviewed a demo release. This time I have to face Skiller, a band that shows what it's made of right from the start. I was pretty amazed while observing the whole package, which is very well worked for a demo release. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was over when I started listening to the CD...
Skiller is a Swedish band. To be more precise, these guys are from Stockholm. They play together for about four years and have changed many things on their music throughout their career. Even if they are a pretty new band, in the bio note I found in the CD, they mention that their debut album Yours To Blame was a bit more rockish. I haven't listened to it so I can't judge by myself. Anyway, this demo CD is their attempt to sign a contract with a record label. Let's see if they can do it...
As I said in the introductory paragraph, my enthusiasm was over when I started listening to the CD. Do you know why? Of course you know! You have been tired of hearing me saying the same thing again and again! NO MORE METALCORE PLEASE! What do I have to do to avoid releases like this one? And do you know which is the worst part? That this CD has a classic demo CD production. Imagine a Metalcore release without its polished and shiny production! Boredom multiplied by 10! It is a demo CD containing four tracks AND the production is totally non-Metalcore. Oh, and the most important thing, it is Metalcore. I don't have to say anything else. One more Metalcore release and Metal Temple will have to send me to a mental asylum!
If you are a 10-16 year old kid and love to headbang to the latest 36 Crazyfists album while masturbating in front of a Britney Spears poster, this CD is just for you!
