SIXforNINE is a Progressive Rock / Metal band from Athens in Greece. The band released their debut album on 1^st April 2015. Fotis Benardo (SEPTICFLESH) became the band's new lead singer. The recording sessions were concluded in the summer of 2012. The album is mixed and mastered by Forrester Savell (SUM 41, KARNIVOOL, DEAD LETTER CIRCUS, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT etc).

Single track "Save Me" has more calmer sounds with fine working bass and memorable chorus with choir and heavier riffs. The strong voice of Fotis is totally amazing! Guitar solo is just impressive and gives me goosebumps! Opening "Sound Of Perfection" has interesting modern guitars with drums. Heavier riffs are played in modern style and melodic singing has similarity to such bands like SOUNDGARDEN, CREED, GODSMACK. Together, singing by whole band sounds fantastic. Rhythmical section is very, very nice! Gorgeous playing with Grunge echoes. What a brilliant guitar solo!

Stoner Metal climate is noticeable in "Wasted" and a really catchy chorus dig in listener's mind for a long time. Total killer! Awesome Metal riffs are brilliant! Calmer sounds in "649" are just chilling ones! Double drums with heavier sounds are into changeable rate. Here you can find TOOLish vibes and Grunge undertones - ALICE IN CHAINS in a slower sense, as in the melodic "Drifted".

Heavier and stronger guitars are in "Out Of Line" with great cooperative guitars, bass and drums, with excellent vocal dynamics. Totally kick-ass track! Stoner climate in guitars are in "All My Heroes Dead" where are listenable SHINEDOWN echoes and killer sounds with lower guitars and very lovely climate. Ballad style can be found in "When Roses Turn Black" where acoustic guitar sounds fantastic with a deep voice. This ballad has really nice style with violins which give true beauty to this track.

Worth to listen to are: "Hourglass" with massive guitars and bass in KORN style, "Take Down The Leader" with ZAKK WYLDE influences and Stoner melodic riffs and "God Among Silence" where stronger lower guitar riffs mix with impressive choir of voices and changeable vibes.

SIXforNINE are excellent band and the production of the album is on high level. Inside is power, energy and melody! Their music shows experience of musicians in Metal with modern echoes with Progressive and Rock elements. I'm nice impressed how they mix heaviness with calmer sounds. Highly recommended to every Progressive and Modern Metal fan!
