Since old Metalheads who grew up in the 80's become in touch with the Israel Metal scene, they have extreme surprises. The country reveals amazing bands from all Metal genres one can think of, from Modern tendencies to Old School genres. It's really great to hear bands from a region with such problems of keeping peace. And one more great name comes from those lands: SINTAX, a Thrash Metal addicted quintet, and they unleash a violent form of music on "Nano 3000", their second full-length.

Their music can be compared as a violent Thrash Metal in a similar way to old SLAYER and METALLICA with some Groove/Thrash Metal touches in the vein of PANTERA and MORDRED, with an intense overload in aggressiveness and brutality (but always with a very good technical level). Their music sounds abrasive and truly aggressive, but with charming instrumental arrangements catchy choruses. One can say that this form of playing Thrash Metal is already known, but in the hands of this quintet, things sound alive and personal, fresh and bleeding energy.

The quintet had Mark Mynett on the mixing and the mastering of "Nano 3000". The final result is a sonority that is abrasive, aggressive and sharp as a blade. But it's defined, clean in a way that everything can be understood. The band evaded the greasy tunes on guitars and bass guitar (extremely common on Groove Metal genres), and it improved a lot the aggressiveness.

All the songs of "Nano 3000" are fine pieces of Thrash/Groove Metal, but the strength and weight shown on songs as "Skeleton Scale" (massive guitar riffs with some groove in many parts, and with a great chorus), "Reefers Sting and Honey" (another extreme aggressive song, but now with clear influences from Thrash Metal from the 80's, along with a NYHC touch), "Most Hated Man in the Universe" (a massive set of rhythmic contrasts, using a very good technical work on bass guitar and drums), "Nano 3000" (a very good work on vocals, using sets of screamed low tunes), and "Lethal and Armed" (that shows some fun parts, an inheritance of Hardcore and Crossover, with very good guitar solos) are the best songs.

Well, after this blow to the nose called "Nano 3000", all that's left to say is that SINTAX deserves applause, and their third album, in the future, can make their name greater in Israel's frontiers.
