Master Creator
Sinbreed
What's up, Metal maniacs? I'm here once again to give you an insight on this German quintet known as: SINBREED, signed via AFM Records.
Right off the bat; I surprised myself for what I had in store, "don't judge a book by its cover" is evident here as I look at the cover for "Master Creator" I saw a hardcore type of Metal band...but as I press play - I hear epic atmospheric Power Metal. I instantly heard Bruce Dickinson vocals from Herbie Langhans in "Creation Of Reality". As soon as you listen to this one; IRON MAIDEN fans will notice it easily. You might ask are SINBREED just another MAIDEN then? Hell no, this is just Herbie's vocals of inspiration, but the great thing about them is - they evolve with every track, making it profound that Herbie made sure not to sound like another MAIDEN but this being a Power Metal band; there has to be some Rob Halford-esquire screaming involved, yes?
Yes. And not only that, while of course the band have their inspirations such as HELLOWEEN, AVANTASIA, JUDAS PRIEST and so on. Musically and instrumentally they're their own original band; as I listen to "Across The Great Divides", "Behind A Mask" and "Moonlit Night", this opinion of mine is pretty, clearly honest. Flo Laurin on guitars produces some fantastically written, spectacular solos that collide in a Thrash mentality but induces some of that Power Metal charm in the mix; especially with the powerhouse that are Frederik Ehmke on drums, who's pretty damn hard on them...what a maniac. Included on bass: Alexander Schulz is also pretty fascinating. Everything can be heard and the sound production is crisp and solid. Perfect wouldn't you say? I would, to an extent. If the obvious transition of Herbie's influence to Bruce Dickinson wasn't so obvious; to be honest though, I dig it as if you was this MAIDEN fan, you would appreciate this choice of vocal recognition, naturally. And we are all typical MAIDEN fans, right?!
As I mentioned Thrash relation; of course it has to be fast and powerful, it's a great combination in relation to Power Metal.and Power Metal needs that kind of speed influence now and then, as similarly found in the band: DEATH DEALER, everything is there: Heavy, Power, Thrash - and as I compare DEATH DEALER to SINBREED, this notion is still constructed in SINBREED, with an epic touch of atmospheric greatness.
The titular track: "Master Creator" also has some typical Thrash influence, right from the beginning I heard a spectacular riff that carried on throughout the rest of the song with an anthem-like feeling to it. Similarly found in "Last Survivor" and "At The Gate". But the ending keeps that anthem-esquire epic in perfect harmony. Including pianist implementations to give you that guaranteed feel of epic atmosphere. "The Riddle" and "The Voice" get more technical with a nice groove element while keeping that anthem greatness in-check, included are the epic Rob Halford screams I mentioned earlier. Again, similarly found in "On The Run".
So the bottom line- what else can I talk about? Not much really, only to encourage you to check out SINBREED in support of Metal. If you crave MANOWAR-like Power Metal, fast and furious JUDAS PRIEST-esquire Heavy Metal or epic-like IRON MAIDEN-esquire influence; for the love of Metal, check out SINBREED, you won't regret it.Productiion: 9
