Blood Bound
Sin of God

To make a specific Metal genre isn’t as hard as it seems, but to do it on your own is a true trial. It means that the musicians must use its influences with the other band’s member to create something different from what already exists, even today, when some people thinks that ‘I-want-to-be-like-…’ is an excuse to copycat anyone. Ok, it’s obvious that things can be done in a faster or slower way (it depends on the musicians), that you can become yourself soon or later, but as soon as one does it, the sooner things tend to grow. And besides some sides od SIN OF GOD’s music needs some sharpening, “Blood Bound” is filled with very good ideas.
The band plays a form of Death Metal that mixes Technical Death Metal with Grindcore influences. In the end, it’s brutal and aggressive, but filled with a refined technical insight, with very good arrangements, and some personality. But the band sounds a bit immature in some moments, what points that they need to rehearsal and play live shows a bit more. It’s good, but it’s clear that with such technical work, they can do even better. Sam Winslow did the mixing and mastering of the songs, creating a violent, aggressive - yet defined - sonority for “Blood Bound”. The songs have a massive and aggressive impact, but with everything exposed and clean, in a way that anyone can understand what’s being played. And the fine artwork of Tamás Kis - a cross between classic visual arts with Degenerate Art aspects.
At last, what is offered on “Blood Bound” (a fast song, but pay attention to the technical work shown by bass guitar and drums on the rhythms), “Black Waves” (where speed decreases, and aggressiveness is excessive, with very good guitars filling everything) , “No Return (From Hell)” (the intense outbreak of energy is amazing on such fast tempos), “The Unbelief”, “Diabolical Agitation” (another slow moment, filled with excellent arrangements and death growls contrasting with agonizing screams), “Obolus” and “Cerebral Malfunction” is hard for Death Metal fans to resist to. Pay attention to this Hungarian quartet, because SIN OF GOD is a promising name, and “Blood Bound” states that the best is about to come in the near future.
