SICKNEST is a Progressive/Experimental Metal band from Katowice & Sosnowiec, Poland. SICKNEST have just released their latest album "Reality Imprisoned" being Niezalezna Records. SICKNEST was founded in January 2011, and are now releasing their Sophomore effort.

SICKNEST play a brutal, relentless style of Heavy Metal complete with skull-breaking drumming, thrashing guitars, and groveling, growling, and wailing vocals. This creates a pulsating sound that resonates throughout "Reality Imprisoned".

"Reality Imprisoned" is the essence that we are all imprisoned by the world we live in and the reality that we have to live with each and every day. Whether these are personal demons that someone has within them (we all have something we struggle with), or fighting the voices in our head that tell us not to do what is best, it's all reality and we are forced to deal with it each and every day. It's something of a prison that we have to live in on this planet. The prison seems to largely be our minds, and how we perceive reality. No matter what reality really is around us.

Tracks like "Addiction" talk about people having to deal with things that the cannot push out of their lives. Be that drugs, alcohol, substances, or anything else (i.e. sex, smoking, money, etc.). We all have something in our lives that are not"Healthy" to have in our lives, and we are somewhat a slave to that thing, and imprisoned in our reality by not being able to live without that thing. "Trapped Inside" seems to follow a similar path sharing what it is like to be stuck inside our own heads and minds hearing voices that tell us what we have to do this or that, or that we are not good enough to do this or that, despite it being our dream.

"Kill Or Be Killed" is a reminder that we have to go out and fight for ourselves, and what we believe in before this reality in our mind kills us mentally, and sometimes even physically and literally. We must confront these various demons and thoughts from hell that plague our minds.

This "Reality Imprisoned" that we live in seems to be further plagued by the concept that the world we live in is the "Sicknest". The cities we live in are nothing more than giant "Sicknests" as they are full of people that greed and lust after everything they can't have. They will do anything to get it, and make a huge ruckus to get themselves ahead of everyone else, no matter what that means doing to other people that may be around them.

Cumulatively, the entire concept of "Reality Imprisoned" is that we are trapped in our own insane thoughts and in our heads in this greedy, filthy world. It makes for one nasty "Sicknest" that everyone has to live in. It's completely accurate as our world goes further and further every day towards total destruction and ruin, and as greedy people get into power that are determined to ruin the rest of us to get themselves ahead. If we do not do something to stop it, it will only get worse. This angry, pissed-off sounding band SICKNEST changes us to get off our asses to go do something, and make a difference while we still can.
