Back with their debut album "Modern Age Mausoleum" Swedish Metallers SIBERIAN are here to kick up a storm. Now signed to new label Gaphals Records since their last EP "Aether" under their previous name SHRINE, the band are certainly moving on the right track.

"Modern Age Mausoleum" is a hard-hitting, angry album throughout each and every track.
Whilst it's always good to be able to show musical influences in music an artist creates, it always pays to be a little more strayed also, as it shows multiple times that they can be a little bit too close. MASTADON for example are the biggest, you can tell the band raised themselves on and around bands such as these.

Tracks "Moth" and "Misfit Opening" have to be personal favourites, if you're into having chills sent down your spine and craving to lose yourself in some furious, heavy music then these are just made for you.

Despite being a bit too close to their influences, SIBERIAN have a knack of adding in their own individuality to the mix. There's a bit of everything in "Modern Age Mausoleum" from Progressive Metal, Hardcore, Punk, Metalcore, Sludge and Doom. The good thing is, is that none of these clash, each intertwines wonderfully with the other to create the sound that is SIBERIAN.

"Modern Age Mausoleum" is heavy and loud, whilst, the album might appeal more to fans of Sludge Metal, Doom Metal and Hardcore it goes without saying that this album will appeal to the whole spectrum of Metal fans around the world.

For their first official release as SIBERIAN, they have set themselves a very high mark for whatever they do decide to do next, however, I am hoping they'll be putting a bit more of their own stamp on it rather than their influences. A nice, solid release.
