Punk is not my cup of tea but here we deal with one legendary band which plays LA punk rock. If you like this genre then you know Shelter.
I really don't have many things to say because I'm not into punk but I believe that this CD worth's a place here 'cause there are people out there who like punk rock. Yeah! They exist! (just kidding)
So what do you get from Shelter? You get pure punk/rock with very catchy riffs nice vocals and fine drumming. I really like some of the riffs and the whole stuff is very 'party like'. Yeah, you can have a big party with these songs. The guys had many problems throughout the years but hell you can't see that! They play very tight together. Before this CD, there were some rumors out there ( about splitting up and stuff) but Shelter are back with a very good album and they gave an end to all those rumors. I strongly recommended this album if you are into L.A punk rock. The songs are really 'live'. They have a great live feeling and I can imagine what is going on when they play live. They have energy and they have talent and yeah... I like them.
Drawbacks? Oh, well yeah. They have many songs (14) so some of them sound the same and sometimes you hardly can notice that the songs has changed. Still is good. Thumbs up.
