SHARDBORNE is a Progressive Instrumental Metal band from Limerick in Ireland. The band was formed in 2010 and they released their debut EP "Aeonian Sequence" in April 2011 and on 10^th July 2015 their debut album "Living Bridges" via Out On A Limb Records.

Opening "Not That Axis" has nice melodic Metal riffs in a heavier climate, technical bass, aggressive and clear drums with fantastic melody. Very memorable track! Even noticeable here are TOOL vibes in the rhythmical section and DREAM THEATER in melody. Technical progressions making many positive vibes, impressive melody and change from calmer, slower rate to heart palpitations is fantastic! Memorable melody is in "Room Within A Room"  where heavier riffs surrounds listener's ears with amazing working rhythmic section and melodic riffs. I love these sounds - here is everything incredible well-worked!

Impressive is "Living Bridges" with catchy riffs in Stoner Metal style style with mega power and beautiful melodies too with heavy sounds. Very enjoyable music where all is perfectly worked. Faster tempo is in "Qualia" where there, melodious riffs and beautiful sounds. Together with the gorgeous rhythmical section guitarists are totally killer! Guys just play on high level as very experienced musicians! Massive melodic sounds are very interesting in the beautiful "Looking Down At The Sky From Above". Every track is different - for example "Mind The Gap" is opening by calmer sounds and after fabulous rhythmical section evokes true power with chunkier riffs which are stunning. Gorgeous different vibes are in the brilliant "Moving Magnetic North" with interesting arrangement. Here are matching drums, oriental echoes of drumming and Progressive dynamics, lovely guitars in calmer atmosphere and even saxophone!

I'm sure "Living Bridges" should interest every Instrumental Metal lover. The music of the band is a great journey which gives power and variety of every track shows real spirit of calmer sounds and more kick-ass. These guys are just very talented and they play music directly from their hearts! I sincerely recommend it to everyone who loves perfect work, beautiful melodies and instrumental Metal playing on the highest level by experienced musicians! It is just pure heaven to listening this album of SHARDBORE!
