Shadowsphere - Inferno album cover

Melodic Death Metal has come to stage where it's no longer found original or enjoyable unless other musical elements are mixed in, but our dear Portuguese friends SHADOWSPHERE have crafted "Inferno", a mixture of traditional melodic Death Metal with a little sprinkle of Metalcore and Thrash. In other words, it's a tasty omelette.

On this release you'll find a lot of influences. You'll find some leftover DARK TRANQUILLITY riffs, some Metalcore passages to make your adrenaline ejaculate, and even a pure Thrash attitude to add some great flavor. "Inferno" is highly catchy and has extremely few downsides. Also, what help this album a lot are the vocals. Some of the most refreshing vocal performance I have heard in a genre like this, it's everything but generic and weak, and any listener would find them full of talent and candy to the ears,

The variety really helps this album spark, but sadly, after some listens "Inferno" may start to seem generic and average to most. But for fans of AS I LAY DYING and SOILWORK this album will surely prove to be worth their time and money.
