Sevendust - Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow album cover

I know that many of you will not know this band, while many of you will have already feel sick upon coming across the name SEVENDUST. Yeah, I was saying the same things some years ago, but as time goes by you realize that all genres have something beautiful in them. Even the disgusting Metalcore scene has some really nice things in it. So, since trends are coming and going continuously there are some things that sound a bit different to us now that they are not as famous as they used to be...

SEVENDUST is one of the most known Nu Metal bands having released numerous successful albums and having toured restlessly performing ass kicking shows. The band is now part of the Asylum Records family, a label that is managed by Warner Music Group. The funny thing is that Asylum is a Hip Hop label and although SEVENDUST released their previous album Alpha through the same label, the band is not even mentioned in Asylum's site! And this is their freaking second release through Asylum! Anyway, that's why I placed the 7 Bros URL under the label's name.

SEVENDUST are back with their seventh studio album and as it seems they keep using the guaranteed recipe they used all these years. The heavy riffing, the catchy guitar melodies, the solid as a rock rhythm section and Witherspoon's incredible vocals are here to create a more than nice album. The band delivers some groovy compositions that have been enriched with the SEVENDUST classic sing along choruses. The band also has managed to have a more than great sound for one more time, and credits go to Shawn Grove, the producer of this album. The guest appearances by Chris Daughtry from DAUGHTRY and ALTER BRIDGE's Tremonti and Kennedy are also something that makes this album even more interesting to the listener's ears.

If you are into stuff like NONPOINT, COLD and SPINESHANK and the Nu Metal sound is not something you consider to be irritating, then I believe that the new SEVENDUST album will be a more than good addition to your album collection.
