"Serendipidy" is certainly an album with its own very unique and intriguing sound. SEEDS OF MARY, with their roots in France, have displayed their talent in the past and this new album is right on par! Drawing inspiration from many different bands of the past, this album has a somewhat older rock feel to it, but with the wide spectrum of bands that have been drawn upon for inspiration, we are blessed to have a very new age tone above the feel of the old. This album is one that will potentially remind you of days listening to Alice In Chains or Pink Floyd but charges forward into the present day rock scene all in it's own way!

The first song on this album has what I feel to be a controversial title in a way to some people, and I append the band for choosing this track to take you off into their album. "The Athiest" starts off with a very grungy and dark sound, breaking out into a heavy slew of guitar drums and just general mayhem. When the first vocals ring in that old time feel is felt almost immediately. Vocals that soothe you along with the melodic chaos going on in the background, breaking out into a screaming rage every so often. This is a full embodied song that definitely needs to be heard and interpreted for one to understand the message behind the title, which I feel is deeper than it may seem to lead on.

"Bleed Me Dry" the fourth track on this album holds onto that same tone and feel of the first song but in such a different way. A very melodic tempo, vocals that differ slightly, and a heavier undertone that gives this song a deep sense of intensity. Darkness and hope intertwined, this song is sure to take you on a ride that your very soul just may need. This song has such an impact and you can tell by the amount of energy that can be felt in the music and heard in the voice of the vocalist. This song is surely a top contender for the album, at least in my opinion. Onto the last song that is a part of this album where that Alice In Chains feel is super heavy! "Somewhere Between Me & Myself" is what closes out this wonderful rendition of music. Soothing low raspy vocals, melody and passion directly behind it in the music, this song is a fantastic way to wrap up an album of this magnitude.

Showcasing the band's passion in a very heavy way. "Serendipity" should be on your must listen to list for right now. It is a great take on some styles of rock from the past with a new age twist that gives it a life all of it's own! Give it a shot and I am most certain you won't be disappointed.
