SCHEMATA THEORY is a six piece British modern Metal combo formed by vocalist /drummer Myles Dyer and lead guitarist Huw Roch, with the addition of bass player Carl Quanstrom and Mario Scinto as second guitarist. After recruiting another vocalist named Luke Wright, to fully complete their sound canvas they recorded in August 2012 those 11 tracks for their first album titled "Dry Lung Rhetoric".
Their style is built for one part under the dogma of the Techno / Thrash Metal and by the other part with less exciting trendy elements, out of the new Metalcore / Screamo book with a little Djent influences on some riffage and some more complex rhythm patterns. Nothing ground breaking, nor exceptional here, no strong personality or major improvement except maybe with the instrumental "Crisis Unveiled" that shows a never seen before finesse in the playing and cleverness in the songwriting.
In fact, I found the vocal mix a little average , and not really convincing , the only track that presents some better singing parts is "Your Belief", the band certainly holds some musical potential but their singers are just too amateurish, to fully reveal the essence of their Progressive / Extreme Metalcore.
