Hailing from Russia,  SARPENTRA are a Blackened Death Metal band who have laid down their gauntlet to the metal masses with this bone shattering, exhilarating and powerful release ''SUPERNOVA''. The band have combined orchestral instruments and operatic style vocals with momentous death growls, excellent guitars and dominating drum beats. After a short intro the album explodes into ''IRON NAILS RUN IN''. Here, frenzied guitars combined with blast beat drumming that will leave you breathless. As the song progresses, the orchestral instruments kick in with operatic style chanting, and the song quickly evolves into something sinister, like an eerie progression into sheer darkness. A song for deserted souls ''SEMPITERNAL'' breaks in with Egyptian guitar scales, a  blistering song full of shuddersome chants and gruesome drumming: only the 4^th  track, yet you will be surely clinging to the edge of your seat already.

''I SET THE WORLD ON FIRE'' truly shows the magnificent musicianship among the members: fast paced guitar shredding and even more hellish blast beats will have you picking your jaw from the floor! Superb solos accompany the song which will have your mind spinning uncontrollably, with the band showcasing an unearthly set of skills to draw you deeper into their harrowing world. The title track ''SUPERNOVA'' combines every exemplary element of the band's arsenal: middle-eastern guitar scales, inducing soprano singing, racking death gutturals and an ambience of obscurity and blackness.
