Sammath Naur - Self-Proclaimed Existence album cover

Hello, this is Yiannis D. the official reviewer for every release that came out with the Polish Thrash'em All and now gets re-released by the Polish label Metal Mind Productions. I really can't think of another intro. The Polish label has re-released almost every single album that was released with the specific magazine.

Even though that's what I read in Metal Mind's homepage, I read that this album was released in 2005 by Empire Records. Basically that's not the point right now. The fact is that Metal Mind offers the opportunity to get an album you - probably - had a hard time finding.

The Polish Black/Death Metal act SAMMATH NAUR got its name from the man that inspired many other bands in the Metal scene, J.R.R. Tolkien. The name means cracks of doom and it was the only place that the ring (from Lord Of The Rings book) could be destroyed. Even though you may think that it is a Folk influenced band (judging from the name and its origin) the band plays heavy as fuck music that draws influences from bands like VESANIA (V is a member of that band, too), BEHEMOTH and some KEEP OF KALESSIN.

The band tries to add this symphonic atmosphere that VESANIA have managed to produce and I can say they are doing pretty good, but it seems that sometimes they lose track of the song's structure. You'll see that you'll get tired from a point in each song. With a little more work they will surely become a nice act that will be able to compete with some well known names in this scene.

If you had a hard time finding the specific album, then Metal Mind Productions definitely heard your screams and offered it to you. If you didn't even know this band, then it is a nice time to check them out.
