Illusions In Infinite Void
Sacral Rage

This immense Heavy Metal four-piece from Greece got my attention straight away. SACRAL RAGE introduces pure undiluted IRON MAIDEN-style Heavy Metal. I was instantly impressed with "Illusions in Infinite Void" and knew straight away that this band were incredibly tight in terms of musicianship. Dimitris K's Vocals are on point and he clearly has the abilities of reaching high falsetto screams that could challenge KING DIAMOND himself, especially in "Waltz in Madness". They combine classic Heavy Metal sounds with a newer sound and insane galloping guitars, noticeably in "Panic in the Urals".
I find it difficult to find flaws this album since it contains everything a Heavy Metal/Speed Metal album should have. Combining clever bass-delimitated transitions and fast, heavy rhythms, SACRAL RAGE pay homage to classic Heavy Metal perfectly. Although they don't offer anything new to the table, this is not needed as they are simply bringing a slightly fresher, crisper Metal sound with them. The Thrashy riffing in "Inner Sanctum Asylum" makes it practically impossible not to head-bang and the chemistry of each musician flows great, like a well-oiled machine and compliments the vocals. Whenever you think that Dimitris K's vocals can't get any higher, you are wrong as he easily hits those falsetto keys that you and I could only dream of achieving.
You can tell that each track has the same amount of effort and energy put into it which really shows. The dynamic solo by the talented Marios P. in "Lost Chapter E: Sutratma" boasted excellent musicianship and emphasises how together they are as a band. I can honestly say that this album was a pleasure to review and was easy for me to pick up on in regards to what stood out to me. It's difficult for me to imagine how someone couldn't appreciate this album. The incredible vocal skills running alongside the pure talent of the rest of the band was made clear from listening to the first track alone. Overall, this was a solid, crisp album that possesses an abundance of talent and togetherness.
