Ronny North is guitar player from Downey, California, United States. He started playing the Sunset Strip at the age of 14. North plays his signature brand of instrumental guitar driven Rock music, featuring his craft worldwide in countless music magazines and is endorsed by over 50 music equipment manufactures. His new album "Intertia" was recently released and there you have it.
"Sea of Deception", a sea of dreams and desires, opens with an impressive rhythm section, and quality overhead atmosphere, proving to the listeners that North maintained high standards for his material. I really liked the collaboration between Charles Wiley with North's strong guitar riffing. The low tuned riffs, and melodic orientations that are so catchy, resemble the stuff of MSG or other classic Hard Rock acts. North's magical style, along with various soloing efforts, triggered my senses as if it was Axel Rudi Pell or Michael Angelo Batio. Title track "Inertia" is a different dimension of oriental riffery and drum thuds, somewhat reminding the sound of UFO with its guitaring.
Other worthy of your time: "Metal Panda" joining heavy riffing with a calmer climax and "Into the Grey" with a fine bass display by Johnny Zell. "Spaced" harboring strappy riffs, a great rhythm guitar driven rocker. There is an incredible guitar solo and melodic licks with little similarity to VAN HALEN.
Ronny North recorded a great album with a melodic sense. I'm sure that anyone who appreciates artistic guitar icons like STEVE VAI, JOE SATRIANI, KISS, MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO, EDDIE VAN HALEN, MICHAEL SCHENKER will enjoy this album. Highly recommend for fans of great guitar work!
