In Vertigo

RIVETTE members are from Finland and their previous works include a demo that had four tracks to it. "In Vertigo" will be their first MLP at a length of about twenty-three minutes. They formed in 2014 and are a Hard Rock/Metal band.
"Outrun the Night" begins with a groovy-ish type riff. It makes you feel like you are about to go on an epic mission. It captures the eighty's rock vibe, fully. I actually had to re-check the date that the album was made because I thought it was something created from that decade. The music has that vibe but better clarity when it comes to mixing. "Arms of Lightening" has that signature classic Hard Rock scream right from the beginning. The song is very speedy and energetic. It has a rebellious feel and the solo is even speedier, which, ended with a repetitive walk up riff. The mood in "The Sting" was a tad different in this track compared to the previous tracks. The other tracks were filled with a certain energy that radiated rebellious or fun filled. This track felt heavy hearted. The sorrow not only showed in the lyrics but in the playing of each instrumentals as well. "In Vertigo" was a slower paced track. At about 2:26 it picks up in pace a bit. It then builds up and then comes back down but then builds up again and then steady's as it ends pretty smoothly. This song too, had a sorrowful vibe to it.
They kept it classic but still made it their own. It could only take a deep passion to re-create/create something like this. It is a Groovy, Rock and Roll lightning bolt that will set fire to your mind. I enjoyed this creation and it got me wondering what a longer album would have been like. Guess I will have to wait and keep a look out for their future works.
