Now And Forever (Reissue)

Granted this is a reissue and my first time hearing it, I think it kicks ass as much as it would have when it was released in 1997. I don't know how different it is from the original recording from 16 years prior, so I have no basis for comparison. However, the band REIGN, just earned a new fan. On their album, "Now and Forever", REIGN, use an eclectic mix of Heavy Metal components. I like every song I have heard, all are similar but all are different...and that's awesome. I hear elements of JUDAS PRIEST, THE CULT, IRON MAIDEN, pinch harmonics, good ass riffs, double bass drumming, searing guitar solos, and a powerful voice.
From the first notes of the leading track "Can't Take Anymore", I knew I was really going to like this album. "Fistfull Of Dollars", has some great falsetto reminiscent of KING DIAMOND / MERCYFUL FATE. "Now and Forever", has a QUEENSRYCHE feel to me.
I really like this album and band!! If you like good old fashioned Heavy Metal with a titch of Power and Progressive thrown in, check them out...you won't be disappointed. Raise your horns and sing along!
