A prophet who bears witness to a phenomenon may find it a difficult task to relay to those in a tongue comprehensible to discern, for how can one express that which is foreign in nature, to paint an image with colors in which he knows not of? For the words that erect this monolith could be the mortar which binds this image or it could result in mere dirt that is spoken from the mouth.

"Darkened Infinity" by REAPING ASMODEIA can be summarized as an album that uses the facets of Deathcore to manifest an unearthly machine, one whose energy radiates a celestial aura disfigured by the visceral emotions permeated by man. For the use technical proficiencies combined with the production allows such creation to take form within sound where it suffers not from dying within the womb of its own complexities brought forth. In other words, the pinnacle of "Darkened Infinity" arrives in its ability to derive a state of equilibrium between the emotional content and the complex musical patterns where both elements are used to form the bones and the air that fills the belly of this titan.

Songs such as "Simulacra", "The Forge of Moira" and "The Consequence of Being" fashion the very spirit that inhibits this mechanical construct of malice where the guitars and drums emit a multitude of manufactured aggression within its sonic output. For one can imagine an entity possessing many arms, and each arm sculpts its own sound of ruin, each arm whose melody is fashioned in a different motions, but together all appendages serve in unison and adhere to one mind, like the many rivers that flow into the sea. But the sea never overruns. Such is displayed on "Darkened Infinity", as its technical musical architecture never appears abstruse in order to solicit reverie for the sake of appearing false in stature.

But what is the force which binds these variables together, the energy that commands all to heed its flow and rhythm as it dictates the course for the atmosphere's conjuration? This is where the vocals come in, as it represents the voice of chaos where the verses spewed forth creates the illusion as though these parables are spoken by a planetary being.

In the realm of Deathcore where a mosaic of ideas has been expressed one may find it a chore to carve out a path that bears no resemblance to those who came before. Even though the sound upon this album is not new in its creation, in my opinion, it does not detract from the way in which this virulent strain of vehemence is concocted, as the true innovation lies in its cohesion of both its musical prowess and atmosphere.
