R.U.S.T.X (their latest moniker) are a British Metal band from Cyprus, formed under different names and under their latest moniker. Formed from a quartet of brothers and sisters, they bring a modern twist to their Metal with elements of Speed, Power, Folk, and a blend of unique vocal talents that makes you ask yourself "what am I gonna hear next?"  While not, strictly speaking, unique or ground-breaking, each track has its own sound and its own emotions, and each one is done really well; I'm actually truly impressed at how well this jumble works as a whole.

"Fire at Will" launches into a Speed Metal festival, the guitars complementing the drums, backup vocals jumping in from time to time, and all making for a pretty good romp. "Frontier Heroes" has a grittier sound mostly due to the change in vocals. "Journey Arrives"mixes things up with a slight reserved approach, being more of a Soft Rock ballad than anything else. "T.T.P.M." is a Thrash instrumental with some good moments but it seems awfully long at over seven minutes. "Brothers and Sisters" mixes the vocals up yet again, this time with who could only be Katerina leading the track; this definitely had an impact on the overall sound of the track, giving it a brighter tone.

Making for a harsh contrast to the last one, "Too Late" has a creeping other-worldly flavour thanks to its haunting opening. The keyboards reverberate and echo like the opening to a classic thriller movie. This leads into "Kalikantzaroi", which has an equally unnerving opening with eerie chimes and a hoarse, creaky chanting voice. It oddly leads into more of the soprano vocals from Katerina that sets a beautiful sound until the song closes on that haunting , creaking voice again.

"Treason" is adventurous and fast paced, with a Power Metal twang to the vocals that is right up my alley. Meanwhile "Dreams of Tomorrow" is reflective and subdued, a love letter to the future with a longing for a better tomorrow. "Xeros (Never Forget)"wraps up this crazy experimental ride with a acoustic Folk guitar that closes things out on a really refreshing note.

At the end of the day, there is something here for most people, but it likely won't be for everyone because of such a varied assortment of music. I however, really enjoyed it and immediately put "T.T.P.M." on my wishlist.
