POEMISIA, a one beautiful band formation from Italy, have been producing a unique sound influenced by Opera, Heavy Metal and Symphonic elements. Lately their new album "La Danza Degli Spiriti" was launched by Spider Rock Promotion.

The whole album sung almost entirely in their mother language, the music mainly focuses on a Symphonic Metal vibe, perfectly in the canons of this kind, with stretches far too derivative of the sound typical of band established such as EPICA. From the beginning, as this affects the final judgment of a product that would also be analyzed as technically very good, as it is characterized by melodies and enchanting sounds and some appreciation for the fans of female-fronted symphonic. The problem is that this lack of originality tends to automatically set the group as a look-alike of a particular style that is already widely cloned from many other international teams of lesser, equal or higher level.

Move by force of circumstances this criticism, I must also recognize the success of an overall very good album with an Italian songwriting and a great test of individual technical musicians, with singer Tina Gagliotta absolutely protagonist through her classical voice, expressive and tune. Well the guitar and the rhythm section of Marco Monaco precise and roaring, with honors to the mat of keyboards and orchestrations edited by Giuseppe Carillo.

In short, "La Danza Degli Spiriti" is revealed as a disc successful and commendable, but we would like to hear something more personal from the next exit. We hope to be heard.
