This is going to be a short one as there is only one song to talk about. Let me give you some back history and context. From what I could gather, there is a band in Canada called PLAYHOUSE that have opened some gigs for bigger and more well known bands like THE DEAD DAISIES and L A GUNS to name a few. The 5 lads have released 2 albums since their birth in 1987, and now they are releasing their third album (?) called Broken And The Damned. However, they have released just 1 track to the press so far called “Black Clouds” that has also a lyric video on the tubes. The sound is a basic Hard Rock and is pretty cool. Good musical arrangement and chorus. Rooted in some rhythm and blues and reminds you of bands like BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION. The tune has some groove and involves you with a sticky chorus that is easy to remember. From a band that has been together for so long, I would expect more albums in their history and more information to be found on the net. Good hard rock nonetheless and worth exploring. If this is the sign of what is to come, I look forward to the new album to check if the other tracks will have the same effect.
