Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: PHOBIATIC; signed via Brethard Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Technical Death Metal, on their 3rd self-titled album entitled "Phobiatic". (released January 20th, 2017)
Since formation in 2008; the quintet in question have 2 albums behind them, and an EP - I'm introduced to their self-titled album "Phobiatic", what we have here is how Technical Death Metal should sound like...intricately more brutal and fascinatingly more complex then you could imagine. With the "technical" sub-genre implemented; it's safe to say that PHOBIATIC ascends their grandiose in songwriting in a grand scale, and perform with stellar composition to boot. I relish a good ol' Death Metal session; these guys do not disappoint either on the grand scheme of things to the contribution towards the Death Metal extravagantly preceding those high expectations I had with more excitement. 10 killer tracks ranging at around 39:48 long - delivering intense solos, killer riffs, and an all-round greatly produced sound production for your brutal fix.
"Domination Matrix" opens up the album with an enlightening effect to my Death Metal needs; with a memorable and original songwriting element that distinguishes itself from other artist's into a more flamboyant distinction of elegance. Sebastian Meisen showcases intensely sung growls that put me into a state of overdrive in vehemence, the powerhouse from Kai Bracht on drums and Christian Neumann on bass formulate an exquisite destructive pattern in their complex pummeling to the sound production, profusely. The dexterous Robert Nowak on guitar efficiently provides sufficient riffery that declares as unprecedented fashion of excellence in his efforts. "Heads Will Roll" is another fine exert; the technical progressions are executed with an unique aesthetic that are filled with an organic substance with rhythmic melody, showcasing maximum brutality from this crushing acquisition.
"Diplomatic Mitigation", "Unconscious Perception" and "Vulture" showcase the more primitive performances with rigorous effect. This short but sweet record is just about the right length for stimulating fabrication. For many repeated listens can be fulfilling with every jam, this proves the quartet have proficiency to the preferred sub-genre of choice. "Who Among You", "Scarecrow" & "Phobiatic" show off more fruitful prominence as the record gets more and more addicting - crushing, pounding and diligently up-scaling this deadly act with adapt prowess. Concluding the record with the final two tracks "Architect" & "Insomniac"; I can overall conclude that all Death Metal fans in general really should endeavor in this joint, like me...any Death Metal is welcome - as long as it sounds good, and PHOBIATIC are no exception. If you like your Metal with a hint of Death and Hardcore mechanics - look no further.<
