Frontiers Records are very well known for their Melodic Hard Rock releases that end up bringing out the most caring, adoring side out of all of us; including the most hardened up individuals, these Melodic tunes bring out a soft side in all of us. The record I am talking about to prove this theory is "Risk Everything" by PETERIK & SCHERER and this new album heavily reminds me of every eighties Rock anthem I can think of.

PETERIK & SCHERER was a dream formed up by young vocalist Marc Scherer; he became a celebrity in his own right by touring with different bands such as LOVECRAFT and CHICAGO back in the eighties. For thirty years he placed his singing career on the shelf to make jewellery for all sorts of famous clientele. He made his return by partnering with Grammy Award Winning Jim Peterik.

The album they created together is any Melodic Hard Rock fans perfect album; a mixture of songs that will remind them of every eighties Hard Rock anthem known to man consisted of memorable guitar riffs, beautiful melodies from the keys and the excellent vocal ranges would be enough to make anyone turn.

The excellent range of memorable melodies will sit well with any mood you happen to be in; from the liberating "Chance Of A Lifetime" to the soft touch ballad "Broken Home" these tracks provide all the crucial Hard Rock elements to create those perfect tracks for anyone to enjoy. Even if you are not a rocker or metalhead this album is actually suitable for all kinds of ears. The easy listening, feel good melodies tell me this.

My overall verdict of the album that it is the perfect thing to pleasurely listen to, especially after a long hard day in the office and when you need to get up in the morning. It is the perfect positive energy booster; highly recommended for fans of the album "Tearing Down The Walls" by H.E.A.T.
