Painside - Dark World Burden album cover

What comes in mind when you think about Brazil? Hmmm, beautiful women, coffee and of course soccer? My first thought is actually the high and mighty SEPULTURA (yeah, and soccer). PAINSIDE seem determined to change that and place their name to the global Metal map. If they are able or not, this is something we have to find out together...

These guys recorded their debut (?) album "Dark World Burden", which is being released through Inner Wound Recordings and are ready to show what they can really do. The album was mixed by Alex Macedo (SYREN, ATLANTIDA) and Renato Tribuzy (TRIBUZY) and features guests like GRAVE DIGGER's Chris Boltendahl, TRIBUZY's Tribuzy and Fernandez and REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE's Gus Monsato.

Their sound is what you would call modern Heavy Metal, with influences ranging from IRON MAIDEN (the singer's similarity to Dickinson is amazing at times) and JUDAS PRIEST (from PAINKILLER and the "Ripper" era) to NEVERMORE and bands like IMAGIKA and MORGANA LEFAY. A heavy as fuck sound, a pretty good singer and a modern aesthetic covering the pure Heavy Metal sound is all these guys need to attract your attention and show you that they are not kidding! Every song has its own personality, something really important in my humble opinion, since it's kind of hard to let you get bored and drives the album away from the "classic" pre-constructed patterns of Heavy Metal.

Yeah, they definitely don't reach the level of the bands I mentioned as their influences, but these guys seem like hard workers and will probably show even better things in the near future. My advice is you should spend a few minutes to check them out and if you like them, why not support them?

PS: May I assume that their name was taken from the BRAINSTORM tune?
