Pain Confessor

Hmm, let's see what we have here, a melodic Death Metal from Finland... oh wow. Why am I not surprised at all? Oh well, the people there basically drink and piss the genre, I have no right to criticize if yet another Melodic Death release came from Finland recently.
Anyway, here we have PAIN CONFESSOR from Finland and they have recently released their new album entitled "Incarcerated" which is purely melodic Death Metal with a few added touches from Keyboards and outdated Metalcore influences. Like many of their counterparts, the band is really talented with what they do and the album is absolutely solid and is an elixir for melodic Death fans overall. Does it bring anything new? And if not, is it worth a try? To answer that, it's nothing new whatsoever, but it sure is worth listening to.
I haven't been up to date with most melodic Death releases recently, and from this release I can easily say the genre is still somewhat the same, but the youths haven't lost hope in it at all.
The energy and outbursts in tracks like "Serpent Swine" and "Tarnished Halo" on this release are some of the best out of the whole tracklist. The energy and motivation on this release shape the album into a very decent and well crafted Melodic Death Metal album. So overall, it's a recommended release for anyone into melodic Death, but a virus for anyone expecting anything new or refreshing.
