France's OVERDRIVERS are young rockers that shared the stage with STICKY BOYS or the well known VULCAIN. They have now reissued their 2016 album "Rockin Hell." Within the first minutes, I can hear Angus Young and mostly Bon Scott's influence; ROSE TATTOO inspired too.  Another AC/DC worshippers band, whose ready to party with us, grab a beer and let me show you. You want Rock'n Roll? Search no more! They have all it takes to shake the devil's hand and slap some asses. Infectious riffs and lyrics on Rock your Life invites you to grab a beer and shake your horns up. Amazing effective guitar work. They also have a great sense of humor: the cover art is a painting (painter Hugues Creton) of the band messin' around with the devil playin' live with demons. Fun and cool!

I didn't listen to the earlier release of this reissue but for me it sounds good and its worth the move. I won't lie there's plenty of AC/DC cover bands and copycats but I really like these guys. We can feel their love for the UK rockers. We have many guitar leads by Mr. Clay that seriously do the job. "Rock your Life" is quite energetic and moving. "Dirty Girls Island must be very cool Live on a big principal stage. We get a shot of heavy blues with "Hot Driver", the calm before the storm. On "Girls Gone Wild" and "Dirty Girl Island," we get caught in serious sexual debauchery! This album is such a party soundtrack! They sure know how to warm a crowd that's for sure! Are you a little tired of listening the same AIRBOURNE CD again and again? Is your "Back in Black" album is worn off? It's time to let the mighty OVERDRIVERS get a hold on you and lift you up to planet ROCK. A few chords and a lot of attitude, energy,and madness!

Recorded at the "Hangar à sons" studio with Bertrand Charlet, they did a great choice and the production is neat. The songwriting is simple but in a good way, no filler in this pure Rock n' Roll frenzy. The lyrics aren't English literature, but it's meant to be that way and straight to the point is what they aim for and I like it. Fans of AIRBOURNE would like these Rockers, and AC/DC too! (obviously!)
