Opprobrium - Discerning Forces album cover

First of all I have to say that I do not like very much this kind of Heavy Metal music, but to my surprise, Opprobrium spur my interest. For you that you never heard of Opprobrium again I have to say that Opprobrium is the new name for a death metal project of two brothers Francis and Moyses M. Howard from Louisiana, formerly known as Incubus.
They are playing pure Death Metal and believe me they know how to play it good. Besides they aren't a new upcoming band but they exist since 1987. They have released 2 more albums, the first in 1988 with the title Serpent Temptation and the second in 1990 with the title Beyond the Unknown. What we have to deal with here is their latest release Discerning Forces which probably with it, they come back to action.

Ten ultra Death Metal tracks, which can make your head banging for several days. Massive guitars, strong and technical rhythm section with the drums take the lead part here. Aggressive vocals that bring tp my mind Max Cavalera, and this is a good advantage for the band. The album leaves you breathless from the opening song Digitrap, to the last Awakening To The Filth. The guitar riffs are the trademark of the band, with catchy, morbid, brutal and emotional riffs. Riffs after riffs, the intensity never stops, sheer pounding. The drum patterns, technical fills and total heavy and hyper blast drum speed pounds on the timekeeping of the complex structure of each song, which he also contributes every time during the songwriting development with Francis.

The result: Discerning Forces, a Death Metal album which Death Metal fans have been waiting for and the time has finally come to recognize Opprobrium as one of the greatest Death Metal bands. I am sure all the fans of that kind of Metal music will find this album a great release, because of the feeling that makes an impact on the listener. Hear my words and encompassment to that album, you will warm up.
