Hailing from Italy, this 4 piece Thrash band has proclaimed that old school is not dead yet. With the influences from old school band as KREATOR, SEPULTURA, SLAYER, it has executed the differences. With new era of modern bands and the clash of the old school with the new age old school, OMNIVORE has stood there and battled with the expectations. It's a typical Thrash band yet it has created the feeling of "thrash or be thrashed" mode on.

Unspeakable Axe Records have done a good job on signing them into their custodian bands. Not to mention, OMNIVORE stands for its term "OMNIVORE". There might be many thrash bands out there but certainly this album has got that classy feel. The beginning track is an instrumental intro like a narration of the story. The story which speaks of bitter truth is the truth of our reality. Concepts like war, religious intervention as well as the politics are mentioned in the lyrics. The second track "Dead" has spoken the causes and results of the bitter truth. With the hope dealt from the normal life activities, the band depicts and narrates the terms which we are in. Lyrics are average yet the concepts which they adopted are something which always Thrash Metal does. Their other track "Hypochrist" is my personal favourite. The start of the song is like narration and then the major classy Thrash starts. It talks about homosexuality and how people are naive to walk on this earth with their unlimited greed filth lying on every nook and corner of the street.

Since I am more into vocals and every other technical part of the band just goes over my head. But here in "Omnivore" I could hear the bass line prominent in their track "Dead". Drumming is all over the place in the track as "Trust" and "Nothing More Than Dust" one could sense Gene Hoglan. No comments towards the vocals or the riffs. Its Thrash and defines Thrash in total.

I would rate it average because the reason is its typical Thrash band. You listen to old school Thrash and these guys are just giving the old school to you like the tradition. If you would compare their power of that classy Thrash to the upcoming bands, this album of theirs are just well average. Not denying the fact, it sounds monotonous. If you want a classy one, go for it! If you don't, it's up to you to accept the band. Look at their album artwork. It explains the ravaging nature of human reality. Got to hand it, they explain how Thrash is like!!
