Nympho - V.I.P. album cover

KISS, MOTLEY CRUE, POISON, ALICE COOPER, ROXX GANG and TWISTED SISTER, all in one. Brazilian sleazy rockers NYMPHO present their first(?) album, V.I.P., via Perris Records and who'd expect something different with a band name (and band member titles) like this?
Average US-orientated Sleaze/Glam music is what you'll find inside V.I.P.. Making comparisons to what's going on with the Scandinavian Glam/Sleaze scene the last years is a good assumption, too. The band has a good vibe, most songs are mid-pace with enough dirt and - while being party tunes - do not have in common with 'candy' LA Rock (a couple of 'aching' ballads are included here, of course). Centered around Criss Sexx, whose solo Bastard Barbie CD is said to score good success (in Brazil only, I wonder?), the band does have nothing to prove, being clear in its aim and is backed by some fitting sound for the genre's requirements. And that's all for now. Really...
V.I.P. (stands for very independent people, as stated in the CD cover) is a good release for the Glam/Sleaze circuit, OK. But if you'll decide to buy it, it's a personal (and financial) decision to be made, I guess. The music is good (the vocals seem to be slightly off-tune at times, though) but nothing that impressive, to sum it up. Rather predictable, I'd add.

P.S.: Tits & Ass, and then Without You Tonight? Something ain't matchin' here, haha...
