NO GOOD ADVICE is a Stoner, Ambient, Psychedelic Band from Turin Italy, founded in 2012, merging together elements of Deathcore, by Livio Caddedu, a quite colorful character that seems to be one of those persons born to be on top of stage with the looseness and security necessary to be a front man for such an eclectic and energetic band. This record goes from Stoner to Hard Rock to Punk and to ambient covering a wide range of styles ranging from PINK FLOYD to MOTORHEAD and adding harsh elements to the whole space themed elements surrounding the album which provides a sense of instability for the auditory senses in order for the essence of the songs not to be lost in itself.
Sudden presence of Hard Rock and tribal like drums with low tuned and stretched out lyrics that resemble PEARL JAM and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS with cyclic structures that leave little room for the instruments which when introduced arise like a sleeping giant to overcome hibernation, the production leaves little room for errors and represents the best feature in the band's debut album released earlier this year. The groove is put aside by repetitive lyrics that make it hard sometimes to tell one song apart from the other like in the case of "Black Monolith" and "Napalm" , which is definitely not the case for "Super Looper Groover" the song that breaks the record in half and that stands out as the most enigmatic and elaborated work the band has to offer, creating a balanced homeostasis between all the elements that conform it, putting the voice and the instruments to work together in accordance of the bigger picture and the method needed to develop and maintain a great tune.
A first effort worthy of recognition and a full introduction of what eclecticism stands for in a band dedicated to grow and prosper in the future years, a creative and powerful display of today's Hard Rock to suit the components of this ever-changing world.
